In French, my name Solange translates to angel of the sun, so my parents gave me the nickname Sunny. And that is all I've been called by anyone I've ever known for my entire life. Being an only child raised on the Jersey shore, I had a lot of time to think and create by myself. I grew up loving math and science which also caused me to develop a true love for sci-fi and fantasy movies.
Once I started exploring different genres of film, I knew this was an art that I had to be a part of. While studying film at The New School in New York City, I worked on multiple DIY films experimenting with cinematic aesthetics, and realized that my true passion was always in post production (editing specifically.) Editing is one of the few things in my life where I love a challenge, and I want to see how much material I can put together. Video editing was one of my first hobbies that stemmed from me making very corny masterpieces on Video Star at age 10. The film industry has so many layers within itself and I am eager everyday to dive deeper and deeper into the art of cinema.
